Odisha
is a state of India, situated on the east shoreline of India, by the Bay of
Bengal. The advanced condition of Odisha was built upon first April 1936, as a
region in India and comprises transcendently of Odia speakers. April first is,
in this manner, celebrated as Utkala Dibasa (Development Day of Odisha). Odisha
is the ninth biggest state by zone in India, and the eleventh biggest by the
populace.
Every State has a symbl to represent their State. Similarly, Odisha has too.The seal represent
Konark Sun Temple Horse.

When Odisha became independent on 1 April 1936, this poem was made the state
anthem of Odisha

goddess Lakshmi at Jagaath temple. Puri. According to the local legend, Laxmi gets upset because her
husband Lord Jagannath goes on a 9-day sojourn (the ratha yatra) without her consent. So, she locks Jai Vijay Dwar, one of the temple gates and prevents his convoy
from re-entering the Sactum Sactourmof
the temple. To appease her, Jagannath offers her rasgullas. This ritual, known
as Bachanika, is part of the "Niladri Bije" (or
"Arrival of the God") observance, which marks the return of the
deities to the temple after the Rath Yatra
Pakhaḷa is an Odia term for an Indian food consisting of cooked rice washed or little fermented in water. The liquid part is known as Toraṇi. It is popular in Odisha, Bengal, Assam, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh.
The Sambar or
also called as Sambhur, Sambur or Rusa unicolor is a big size deer native to
Southeast Asia and Indian subcontinent. It is also called as the state animal
of Orissa state, India. The size and appearance of Sambar animal vary widely
throughout their range that has greatly led to considerable taxonomic big
confusion in past-time.
Local name of
Indian Roller is Neelkanth. Size of Indian roller is between 25 cm to 35 cm including
the tail. Indian
roller, generally found in cultivation, thin forest and grassland. They are
mostly found near the edges of the forest rather than deep forest.
The Jagannath Temple of Puri is a sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Jagannath and located on the eastern coast of India, at Puri in the state of Odisha. It is one of holy dham out of four.
The 858 Kilometers long Mahanadi river flows through the states of Chhattisgarh and Odisha. It gets formed by numerous mountain streams and the farthest headstream is located in hills of the Dhamtari district of Chhattisgarh. These hills are extensions of the Eastern Ghats and are a source of many other streams which then go on to join the Mahanadi. The river first flows in north and drains Raipur. After Bilaspur, it is joined by its major tributary river Seonath.
